SPINNING THE WEB OF WISDOM AROUND YOURSELF Prov. 30: 24 – 28

Many times as God’s people, wrong religious teachings, makes a believer to place higher priority on character above capacity. So the body of Christ is filled with good people that are powerless people. Our God is both good and powerful; both Holy and able. God is not just interested in your being Holy, He wants you to be able.

The church focusing largely on character alone and despising capacity have greatly delayed the purposes of God on the earth. The world doesn’t bother about character, but bothers about capacity and ability while the church bothers about Holiness. So we have people of God that God can work with but are not able. In these last days move, God is correcting that error. The challenges of our generation require that Christians understand the combination requirement of character and capacity, intelligence and integrity. However, God Himself is preparing men, who have both character that nobody can question and capacities and capabilities that can compete with anybody anywhere.
Prov 30:24- There are four things that are little upon the earth but are exceedingly wise.

Their wisdom will compensate for their smallness. But let me say this “Bigness will never compensate for foolishness”. I want you to make up your mind today “You will become exceedingly wise” that by the time people overlook you or underrate you because of your smallness, by the time they see the result of your wisdom, they will change their minds. In one of the books that God led me to write – “Structuring your life for Responsibility,” I wrote about the Ants, the principle of the Ant using the little by little, step by step wisdom to prepare for their future, they are always moving, carrying something, preparing for the winter and all that.
Prov 30: 26- The Conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks – taking advantage of the strength of the environment.
Prov 30: 27- The locusts have no king, yet they go forth – all of them by bands.

I will be laying emphasis on the wisdom of the spider. Look at verse 28- The spider taketh hold with her hands and is in the Kings’ palaces.
In redemption, God has made us Kings and priests, but we will never walk in that unless we understand what brings the kingship. One of it is wisdom and the bible tells us that if you apply the wisdom of a spider, you will enter into your own palace.

One day I watched a spider and this spider was spinning the web and was spinning the web moving up and down and after it had spun as wide as it wanted, it began to cross. So it means that there is a web that you can spin, that can take you to the palace of the king. And after the spider had finished spinning, it went to sit somewhere in the web. And a fly flew and hit the web. As soon as it entered the web, the spider began to twist the web around the fly, and as the fly struggled, the spider was spinning around it and so it went on like that. And I see that God wants us to spin His web of wisdom around our problems, challenges, situations and circumstances we find ourselves in.
Let us consider eight points that are strings of the wisdom web of the spider.
1.   The web of the Holy Spirit:
Your relationship with the Holy Spirit will give you a strand as a spider to cast  or to throw. That will be like the foundation strand. God is available to everyone of us, but each one of us must determine how much of God we will enjoy, how much of His ministry, how much of His wisdom will be available for us. It is one thing to say God is your Father; it is another thing to allow God to Father you. God is my Father can be a terminology. God is Fathering me is a relationship. The Holy Ghost is not in our lives as an interested observer that is just looking at what we are doing He is in our lives as an Eternal guide that God has given us. We must develop a personalized, customized relationship with Him. Force yourself to listen to Him; He will give you your first strand of the web of wisdom.
2.   Spiritual and Godly Leaders That God Has Placed Around You:
There are some that God has placed over you and some, God has placed around you that God has kept certain things inside them for you. There are two anointings that God uses to teach every one of us.
  • There is an anointing that is inside us that teaches us. 1 John 2:27.
  • There is an anointing upon someone else outside of us. And God ministers to us equally through both.
The totality of everything you can learn and know on the earth will come in those two ways, no matter the course that you read. Your teacher can only teach you so far, if you are going to proceed, you have to go further on your own. Sometimes, we may be in the situation that we need prayer and when your prayer is not dealing with the situation, you can join faith with a spiritual leader.

In II kings 4, we see the woman that is the wife of one of the sons of the prophet whose husband had died prematurely and in debt: those are two things that are against the covenant of God for the children of God. This man left a bill instead of a will, which means he didn’t obey the covenant that he was carrying. And there’s nothing as to see people that are serving around God, embarrass God by their lack of obedience to the principles of God. Most of the time, people of God emotionalize their relationship with God. He does not want you to worship Him and forget to hear Him. It is in hearing Him that your life will reflect the value of your worship of Him.

And so that woman went to the servant of God and said, “You know my husband fear the Lord…” and all that. That is accusation, that man must not have feared the Lord the way she said it. It is not coming to church that proves that you fear God, it is obeying the commandments of God that proves that you fear Him. The point here is that, the woman knew where to go, when she did not know what to do again. The principle here is “If you don’t know what to do, you must know where to go”.

Spiritual leaders can bring you words from God; they can bring anointing from God. Sometimes, you need to take hold in the spirit and say “Father, this battle I’m fighting, put in the heart of some of the people You have assigned to me to begin to pray for me now.” So sometimes you will have a situation that God, an Angel of God and a man of God will need to work in concert to bring deliverance. Sometimes, for our safety, we must know whom God has assigned to us as a prophet. I don’t mean somebody that is going to prophecy to you every time but someone that can tell you the truth that nobody is willing to tell you and everybody is afraid to tell you.

 3.    Experienced Relatives
God has planted anointed relatives around you. They may not follow you to church but there are areas that they have gotten some understanding. There is nothing wrong in you taking advantage of their wisdom and of their strength.

The word of experience is something natural that God uses. When the woman that has been injured in marriage is telling a young lady that has just married, who is disobeying her husband, who is misbehaving to the husband and says to her “You won’t have a home the way you are going” that’s the word of experience. It is an anointed strand of wisdom. It will be stupid for you to try to learn lessons that somebody has learned 25years on the same road. You can get it in 25days.

4. Godly Friends
Here I mean, men that your interest is critical to, your success is their joy. Your friend is somebody that can cry with you, your friend is someone that can celebrate your success with you, even your enemy can cry with you, so you must know a competitor from a friend.

In life, when you are about to make decisions that are life changing decisions, decisions that will not only affect you, it will affect other people around you, critical decisions, you cannot take that decision alone and you should not make it alone. You should subject it to a lot of scrutiny.

5. Sound Associates and Colleagues in Life:
Let me deal with sound associates. You know that Namaan would have died a leper if he didn’t listen to his housemaid! I’m talking of spinning the web of wisdom, bringing your problems, bringing the situations that confront you into the web. There’s no situation, there’s no problem that anyone faces that there is not someone around you that can give you a strand to strangle that problem. There is someone around you that is part of the web you must spin to arrest that problem. When Jesus needed to feed the 5,000, He said “Find out how many loaves you have”. And it was Andrew that brought the boy with five loaves. There are some Andrews around you who have eyes to see what others are neglecting, what others are despising. It was Andrew that brought Peter to Jesus. There are some Andrews that are not popular with the anointing, but they are powerful with something else.

The advantage of having somebody to show you something is that you make less expensive mistakes. And if you make mistakes when you have somebody over you, such mistakes are on the account sheet of somebody else, but when you are on your own, all the mistakes are on your account.

6. The Legacy of Champions
Champions are what I call “graduates of the school of experience”. Two places you are going to get their legacies are:

a.   Direct interview with them
If you have ever come across somebody that you can get something from, talk to him, discuss things that will sharpen your spiritual intelligence.
b.   In their publications
either their own or what is written about them; get them, study them and read them in and out. It will be stupid for you to try to learn lessons that somebody has learned 25years on the same road. You can get it in 25days.
c.       Seminars.
If he is holding seminars attend it.
d.   Tapes:
There are various ways now to capture the thoughts, the pains, the experiences, the exposure of champions. There are things not just learnt from reading the Bible but from devouring the tapes of the men of God. When a minister is ministering you must be listening to all these things.
e.    Your critics and from your opponents.
Learn from your critics; they are part of the wisdom strand that God has provided for you. You know David as a King of Israel got to a point in his life that he went to battle and he was weak and somebody thought of slaying him. But there were some of the people that were around him that steadied him. And then they said “You don’t go with us to battle, you are worth 10,000 of us, lest the light of Israel is quenched”.

We must understand that we must learn to take advantage of the things that God has placed around us for help.
